I started photography about a year ago with the purchase of my first DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex) camera. I had never before really tried photography (other than at an elementary school art show). But I had discovered a hidden talent. It felt really easy and all of my friends and family complimented my work. Whenever I travel, I take my camera along, just in case of a perfect picture moment. Since then I have purchased a Nikkor 55-200mm lens for wildlife photography. My advice for a starting photographer is, that even though it may seem confusing and difficult, keep trying because you may be good at it.

I have always enjoyed photography whether looking at the work of others or taking pictures of my own. I began to take it more seriously as a hobby though when I took some photography classes throughout school. It is so interesting to me how every picture can have a story behind it. You can create the story or look for it if you read into the photograph. I like to think that there is opportunity for a great picture anywhere if you look for it.
